Gates of the Arctic is a remote wilderness Park and Preserve located above the Arctic Circle and off the road system. Most visitors access the Park and Preserve via local communities by bush planes. Others hike into the Park and Preserve from the Dalton Highway or Anaktuvuk Pass. Access to this park requires carefull planning but the experience that awaits those who enter the park is one of a kind and well worth the effort.
